Overall good place
Former Tenant
Pros:
clean with a responsive management company. Our heat was broken for a few months but they didn’t require us to pay rent for that entire period and were generally responsive to other issues
Cons:
The neighbors to the west play music pretty often and the acoustics are such that it’s pretty loud in all apartments facing west
Advice to owner:
Nothing

Do NOT live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice apartment space, that’s about it.
Cons:
Huge huge issues with heating and cooling in this building. Awful building management, do not care about tenants well being. Heat was down in almost half the building in the winter of 2019-2020 and we were all given space heaters to keep warm. Extremely obnoxious neighbor in a townhouse on the backside of this building (behind garage). Plays loud music at all hours of the night all summer long. Management won’t do anything about the neighbor. Police definitely won’t do anything about it. Packages get stolen from package room, strangers and intruders walk into the front doors easily behind building tenants due to “virtual doorman” which is of absolutely no help. Mice found in a handful of apartments here. Etc etc
Advice to owner:
Stop being cheap, pay the money to get the major piping issues resolved so tenants have proper heating and cooling each season. Listen to complaints of tenants and help, instead of ignore problems.

385 Union Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Newer building, nice appliances, no pests, W/D in-unit
Cons:
Management company is extremely unpleasant. Boots on the ground are great, but admins are generally arrogant and unwilling to make concessions. Half the building went without heat or AC for better half of year, packages kept getting stolen, and management was all talk no action. Individual units had to group together to demand concessions and even then were immaterial. Given the current market, I wouldn’t rent here.
Advice to owner:
Make fixes on time and be more generous with concessions or people will keep moving out
