HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE LANDLORD
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location was amazing!
Cons:
Roaches, and even mice we had in our apartment.
We also had to take the owner to court because he refused to give all 3 of us (roomates) our individual security deposit back of a total of 3,000+ usd. He claimed that we damaged the hallway when we moved out but we absolutely did not and there was no way for him to prove it was us. Also multiple tenants were moving out that day as well, so I’m assuming he wanted to pinpoint someone.
Advice to owner:
Stop stealing money from young struggling working women.
And clean up the place!

Nice if you don’t need anything from landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Really nice neighbors, in a great location.
Cons:
Repairs took forever to happen and were done really cheaply. Landlord is super not responsive and will take significantly longer than is legal to return a security deposit.
Advice to owner:
Be better.

Old faithful
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood. Pretty quiet block and pretty quiet neighbors.
Cons:
Very few trash cans that are left unlocked and there is pretty much a 100% guarantee someone on the street will go through your garbage and throw stuff across the sidewalk they don’t want. There is no on site super.
Advice to owner:
Lock up the garbage bins.

Walk Up in Alphabet City
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice area in Alphabet City close to the park. Nice bars in the area
Cons:
Emmet did not return our security deposit and blamed the broker, far from the subway. Smell of Curry from the Indian restaurant next door.
Advice to owner:
Be better about the trash outside. Also, renovate the rooftop so people could use it
