Hmmmm, not sure this was a good pick
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location , decent size, good light
Cons:
Unresponsive landlord , where is the super?
Advice to owner:
Do better. This could be a great place

Not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
A good location
Cons:
Elevator was always broken, unit was in disrepair, and heat/hot water was unreliable. Property owner terminated the lease after 1 year without cause.

Avoid 611 realty
Former Tenant
Pros:
The Super is helpful and frequently on site
Cons:
Owners of 611 realty are some of the worst people I’ve dealt with. “Elevator on site” is almost ALWAYS out of order. Building needs some serious upgrades for what they are charging

DO NOT LIVE HERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
NOTHING IS GOOD. Location is only lure.
Cons:
THIS BUILDING SUCKS. DO NOT LIVE HERE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. EVERYTHING IS BROKEN ALL THE TIME. EVERYTHING IS DIRTY. NO HEAT. SHOWERS ARE DANGEROUS. PACKAGES STOLEN CONSTANTLY. DO NOT LIVE HERE. DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE.
Advice to owner:
STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE YOU DISGUSTING ASSHOLES

Don’t live here, the location may lure you in but don’t be fooled.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great.
Cons:
Igor (building owner) and Limor (broker) do not handle any part of their jobs with decency and respect for tenants. If you choose to live here, you will encounter the same issues that everyone in the building faced. You will have to threaten to take them to small claims court to get your security deposit back, you will have to email, call or text them repeatedly to have the basic necessities such as water or heat provided to you, you will be stuck in the elevator and will have to call the fire department to get out, and you will be threatened and dismissed when you voice your issues. I tried to look past the red flags that I encountered during the move-in and like many people assumed that all New York City apartments have their issues. However, it really is a very different experience to come home every day and not know if your apartment will be habitable or if your repairs will be handled, all while knowing that you will be ignored by the only people that can address the issues. The East Village is a wonderful neighborhood but there are other apartments and better landlords, keep looking.
Advice to owner:
Find new income streams and leave renting out apartments to people with the time and decency to do so.

If you want something to happen you have to do it yourself
Former Tenant
Pros:
When the elevator works it’s great. Unbeatable location!!
Cons:
Super doesn’t respond to texts only calls and in person requests. The maintenance portal never gets reviewed or addressed.
Advice to owner:
Listen to your tenants, we just want what we paid for.

Decent digs for the short-term
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building has a semi-working elevator and is generally pretty quiet and cleanish. Perfect place to get by for a few months while paying reasonable rent and being in a great location especially if you have a dog.
Cons:
Elevator traps you or doesn’t work at all about 25% of the time. Shower water shifts instantly and spontaneously from boiling to freezing to the point where it’s probably a safety hazard. June Homes sucks at providing keys for tenants.
Advice to owner:
What’s going on with the elevator and hot water? A little sign that explains the situation would be helpful even if a fix isn’t possible. The issues really catch you off guard sometimes.

Landlord is HORRIBLE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is generally clean and in a great location
Cons:
The landlord is completely evil and unresponsive even when it it 5 degrees outside and you have no heat in the building. Went without heat in the dead of winter for weeks
Over 1 year ago
owner and management are shady as fuck
Former Tenant
Pros:
location is great
Cons:
igor and limor are both shady. there is many violations and they try to charge extra fees. my apt only has one radiator in the whole place the heat isn't on when its required by law in the winter rat infestation.
Advice to owner:
imagine your family member lived here.

Avoid Igor and 611 Realty
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not many - apt was probably nice at some point. Structurally, it didn't collapse? That's about it.
Cons:
Impossible to get a hold of landlord. Any issues took days to resolve. Continued to pull money out of my bank account after my lease ended. I'm still trying to get the money back.
Advice to owner:
Stop stealing from people, answer the phone, and do the right thing.

Horrible Management; Delayed Heat in Winter
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly neighbors. Elevator when it does work (not often).
Cons:
Elevator breaks all the time, management never responds, oven broken the whole lease, drain doesn’t work, and worst —heat didn’t come on for a couple days and shower heat is on and off.
Advice to owner:
Communicate more.

Unresponsive & Poorly Managed
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are updated
Cons:
Management takes forever to respond to requests, elevator frequently stalls, and hallways are dirty
Over 2 years ago
Horrible, unresponsive landlord, many utility problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are nice
Cons:
Things are broken in every apartment upon moving,
Super never shows up,
Rents are raised erratically,
Landlord lied about how much rent will increase by,
Cockroaches,
Black mold,
Packages stolen,
No locks on mailboxes,
Keys were hard to receive,
Copy of lease hard to receive,
Limor is unresponsive unless asking for more money,
Dangerous elevator, often traps tenants and deliverymen,
No carbon monoxide detectors or fire alarms,
Front door often jams and locks in tenants (a huge fire hazard) -- super was contacted about this but never showed up
Advice to owner:
Be a better person, stop lying, have some empathy
Over 2 years ago
Awful managment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is not bad.
Cons:
Aways breaking. Heat either off or on full blast. Water takes forever to heat up. Building always dirty. Elevator always breaking.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who will take better care of it.

Nice apartments but ..
Former Tenant
Pros:
The units in this building are decent, although we had to do quite a bit of cleaning in our unit when we moved in. We love this block, it’s one block away from Tompkins and literally everything is at your fingertips. They also have an exterminator come once a month which is good. Floors are very shiny, walls are freshly painted.
Cons:
The heat and hot water has stopped multiple times throughout the winter. Management is slow to repair things when requested.
