Good Place to live, You get what you pay for.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good security/access. Great location.
Cons:
Super takes a while to get back. "Repairs" are more like quick fixes. Management like to gas-light for leaks, locks, any repairs. Heating was hit or miss
Advice to owner:
Fix the heating. Repair things well the first time so problems do not continue.

A Love/Hate Relationship
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fantastic location. No bugs ever in the apartment itself. One of the supers is nice and responsive unless it’s a repeat problem. Windows in all rooms.
Cons:
Multiple attempted break-ins throughout our one year living here - We had to get the locks on our door replaced multiple times. (They also still showed our apartment to potential new renters a couple of hours after one of the attempts and tried to ask us to wait two days to receive new locks…) The floor in half of our apartment was slanted by 1 or 2 degrees - caused my AC to constantly leak water. Dead cockroaches in the hallways occasionally. Two of the bedrooms were barely livable & had no natural light from windows facing a covered alleyway. Building shares trash containers with a sushi restaurant which smells DISGUSTING whenever it gets taken out. Building itself is not very clean - someone mops the building maybe once a month, but if something is ever spilled in the hallway it stays there for weeks. Drains clogged really easily. Buzzer system sucks.
Advice to owner:
The buzzer system that is currently in place at the front door is outdated, unsafe, and unbelievably confusing! Highly recommend literally any other sort of buzzer system - We loved the apartment location but by the time we were getting ready to move out we were scared to be alone in the apartment at night.

You get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
Classic East Village apartment, insanely good location. Mostly young, fun neighbors. Not very social, more passive, but definitely nice if you are more active in befriending them. Super is really responsive.
Cons:
Water pressure is bad, foundation and construction are bad. We’ve heard about pest problems and structural problems.
Advice to owner:
Invest more money in fixing things before they break.
