Survival mode
Former Tenant
Pros:
The space is pretty big and you get access to good restaurants nearby.
Cons:
The owner failed to fix things on time. The heater is either too hot in the winter or completely off. We got packages stolen and literal human shit in our hobby.
Advice to owner:
Have some decency.

Absolute Horror Story, Do Not Live Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, close to good transit and restaurants, neighborhood itself is great
Cons:
Complete and total nightmare of management. Inept, unresponsive, and after a year of living here has yet to fix a damn thing. We’ve experienced: non functional heat for two weeks during the winter, countless packages stolen due to failures to fix building locks nor install a security camera, someone literally pooping in the building lobby also because the maintenance failed to fix building locks, mice, roaches, mold, leaking ceiling, and a hostile and aggressive superintendent who has yelled and threatened us multiple times and who shows up unannounced whenever he pleases. I cannot stress this enough: don’t live here.
Advice to owner:
Fire your super ASAP and hire someone who actually cares about taking care of this building!

Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good rental price and location
Cons:
- Landlord does not care about buildings or tenants at all
- Supervisor harasses and threatens tenants, completely unhinged
- Non-existent management that does not respond to any form of communication (email, calls, text)
- Any apartment hazard will take months to fix (or be completely ignored), even if verified by HPD inspection
Advice to owner:
Please invest some time into improving the building and responding to your tenants; this will make everyone's lives better.

Hire the necessary team to fix any outstanding building violations instead of having everything done through the supervisor, who is constantly harassing tenants and rushing from one job to the next.

Former Tenant Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location in the heart of the East Village. Tons of great bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Cons:
Owners are incredibly unresponsive and will only come to the apartment to fix things if it is an absolute emergency. I had to ask numerous times for them to turn the heat on in the winter, despite the fact that it was reaching near freezing temperatures. I also told them numerous times about a leak in the ceiling and it took them weeks to patch over it, even then not fixing the real issue or repairing the damage that had been caused. The building entry way was extremely dirty and boxes/tools would pile up in the entry way. The door buzzers were constantly broken so people would prop the entry doors, which led to several packages being stolen.
Advice to owner:
Invest some time and energy into cleaning up the place. Be more responsive to tenants instead of forcing them to reach out numerous times.
