70 west 68th review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to Central Park. Size of apt is ample. Slightly updated in certain parts of apt.
Cons:
Management does not pro actively communicate. Management disregards serious issues until reminded of them over and over. Management does communicate in writing.

Overall Good with some cons
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, half a block to CP, 2 blocks to the express and local, 3 blocks from TJs.
Cons:
Heating: I lived in the top unit and we could not control the heat, so in the winter it was unbearably hot, we had to keep our windows open day and night. The heating also made a ton of noise (sounded like a little man inside the pipes slamming a metal mallet).
Noise: my bedroom was on the street side and it was so loud. Dump trucks woke me up every other day, and tons of car horns due to it being a 1 way street with parking on both sides leading to backups happening often.
Advice to owner:
Double one your windows and improve the heating controls. Otherwise the landlord was overall pretty responsive and pleasant to deal with.

Unprofessional and Disorganized
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s near Central Park... that’s it.
Cons:
They owe me money. They did NOT start a new ledger or lease when I took the spot of a 2 roommate situation. At the end of my lease, they took money from me to pay the previous roommate’s fees. Despite my proof of it not being my fees, they did not pay me back and told me to take it up with the previous roommate. That should have been THEIR responsibility. I have not been paid back.
On top of this, I dealt with MICE, BUGS, and MOLD. None of which were taken care of by the building, all traps self-purchased.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of your records and tenants. If YOU mess up handling fees, that should be on YOU, not your tenants.
