Horrific Greedy Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment layout was great. Lots of sunlight. Could have been a nice building if common areas were ever cleaned.
Cons:
Hallways were maybe cleaned once a month and would have dead cockroaches on the stairs. Always piles of trash in garbage area outside. Cockroaches, mice, and ants in the building. Landlord reps would become abusive and call you dirty instead of fixing the problem. Had to find and fix the gaps in the walls myself to stop mice. Refused to paint the walls. Did not clean from previous tenant before move-in. Lied about super in building and number provided would refuse to fix anything. Major leak in second bedroom required four months to fix causing roommate to have to move out during peak covid - rent reduction only offered after incredibly nasty phone calls from landlord. Illegally forced to get legal representation to resolve issue. Construction work directly outside of bedroom windows would start w/out any notice from the building. So woke up with guys right outside my room. Management company refused to have any communication or payment tracked on-line. Would lose checks and then claim it had bounced. At one point the front door lock was not working and it took them six months to fix. Overall insane and greedy people to work with - but they know that with the current market they can treat tenants however they want with no consequences.
