Good UWS Units
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is perfect. Very close to the subway, restaurants, and shops. The street is mostly quiet with the exception of backed up traffic that leads to excessive honking. At night it is a very quiet and safe area. Not many units so you don’t feel crowded in a large building.
Cons:
The biggest downside to this building is that you will hear everything from your upstairs neighbor: every walking movement, furniture adjustment, running, and dropping of any item. There is no exaggeration; there is no soundproofing at all, and every floor experiences it. The super lives in a unit directly below an office space that he rents out (I wonder why…). Additionally, there is no laundry facility in the building; however, there is a laundromat at the end of the block. Unfortunately, they only offer self-service on Sundays.
