Beautiful old-school building, poor management
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Gorgeous, perfect street right off the park and B/C train line. Location can’t be beat. -Old-school brownstone character and details, high ceilings, hardwood floors, big windows
Cons:
-Management is super unresponsive and irresponsible, it is really difficult to get work orders taken care of. Very poor communication. -It’s an old building and corners have been cut. Lots of leaks. -Poorly heated. Probably the only cold and humid apartment building in NYC. Lost heat and hot water more than once this past winter. -The entryway is always covered in bird poop. Might be a health code violation…they need bird spikes.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of the building, invest in long term property maintenance rather than quick fixes. Train your property managers and be more communicative with tenants. Fix the bird poop issue.
