Safe and quiet, but mgmt sucks and the mice keep coming back
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean and renovated apartment. Kind respectful neighbors. Super needs to be tapped a billion times for responses but he gets the work done. Eventually. Walls are amazingly soundproof. The neighborhood is so charming, quiet, and safe.
Cons:
The heat. It didn’t turn on until later into the cold starting, it was a TUNDRA inside. And we all got colds and had to ask 5x before they finally turned on the heat. Weeks later. The heat is also all or nothing, so the apartment is either a sauna or tundra. And by sauna, I mean literal sweat in the winter.
In the winter, the heat pole in the room makes this horrible horrible clicking noise that keeps me up all night. It’s like someone’s banging on a metal pole with a hammer as hard as they can. At night. Next to you. It’s actually really freaky and terrifying.
Rats/mice!!! Management was responsive and patched all the walls with cement & provided traps but somehow they still kept digging holes and showing up. We learned to stop leaving fruit and bread on the counters. It doesn’t matter. They still come back. They eat through your pantry and they leave droppings on the counter. It’s DISGUSTING.
The super can be sassy.
Advice to owner:
Please be kinder when residents have issues. We’re human too. And for the love of god get rid of the rodents!
