2/10 Living Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood is great, people in building are great.
Cons:
Management is truly terrible. Only care about their wallets. We didn’t have gas and laundry for 13 months and they gave us about $5 discount a month. Trash schedule is terrible, rats in and around the building.

Great Place to Live When Nothing is Wrong
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are nice and have the most functional kitchens I have seen in Manhattan. While our unit is small, it has very usable space and feels larger than it is. It is fantastic to be right off of a great block of Amsterdam and is very quiet.
Cons:
The management company is horrible. Sky Management does not respond to you or fix things unless it is an emergency. Con Ed just shut off the buildings’ gas because of violations at the fault of the building and management sent a letter blaming a tenant and refuses to either reduce rent or provide transparency. It will likely be off for 6+ months where we cannot use stoves, ovens, and building laundry machines. They have ripped down all notes that tenants have posted in the lobby attempting to organize and urged us to not file an official complaint with the city. Our rent increase has been astronomical as well. When our call box broke, it took two weeks for them to fix and we could not receive packages during this time. The elevator was broken for about a week at a time in and off for many months, but the building fixed it as soon as the city officially deemed it unsafe.
Advice to owner:
Care about your tenants and don’t be shady. We pay a ton and your apathy about taking away our ability to cook and do laundry is more than an inconvenience, it makes living in your building financially and emotionally unsustainable.

Pretty good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building was a pretty good first apartment - had a small pest problem that was quickly rectified. Super was very helpful. Street was nice. Kitchen was well renovated
Cons:
No major cons once the pest problem was rectified (quickly)
