Rodent Infestation
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the private roof terrace! It was bigger than the apartment!!
Cons:
Management is not responsive and refuses to fix anything properly. I had mice running all over the apartment! Reported it and they did nothing. I sent videos of the mice and no response. Ended up reporting them to the health department. There’s a BIG hole under sink that they refused to fix. Probably how mice got in too! Kitchen was not legal and setup was unsafe. Wiring was hanging down and the cabinets weren’t finished so more holes for the mice to get in. Toilet clogged within first month and the tub filled up with “Brown” water. I called and reported to the numbers they gave me and no one responded for 3 days. I had to go stay with friends because I had no toilet or shower. Instead of calling a real plumber, the guy who works at the church came up and took the entire toilet off the floor and snaked the hole in the floor. That didn’t work and he left it a mess for a day to go rent a more powerful snake. It was so nasty!! Roof entrance was supposed to be private, but anyone could access, which means they can also see right into your tiny studio. Also had a very unsafe entry and you could easily fall down the entire staircase. The heat was TERRIBLE and very loud when it finally kicked in the morning after freezing all night. Hallway and stairs haven’t been updated and are very unsafe. Trash was down the street at the church behind locked gates which was infested and not safe at night. Also a huge pain when it’s raining or snowing. It’s obvious that this was part of the church and not meant to be an apt. I should have known better than to rent from a church!
