Was a Good Covid deal
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building with prewar details, consistently clean!
Cons:
Steep walk up, weird stairs in duplex unit that were very slippery and creaky. Package theft

Nice apt and responsive building management, but many rats on street
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, very responsive building management that quickly addresses issues and upgrades amenities in unit, very nice neighbourhood with lots of food options and cafes, close to the A, C and 1,2,3 lines as well as many parks (central park, morningside park, riverside park)
Cons:
We have had a few (less than 10) cockroaches over the 2 years we have stayed in the apt but the building management has been helpful in addressing the problem. Unfortunately our unit doesn't have an in unit washer/dryer. Biggest issue is probably that the street itself is not the cleanest - often has dog poop, and many rats.

Nice for two years
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super and his team were really helpful and nice. Neighbors were generally pleasant.
Cons:
First floor had “water bug” problems ever since they changed timing and companies for exterminators.
Advice to owner:
Go back to old exterminators

No horror stories
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Size of the rooms -Dishwasher included -Good heating -Maintenance decently responsive
Cons:
-Ridiculous amount of rats on 107th -Garbage stacked like pillars on each side of the building entrance(contributing to rat problem) -Several tenants rent their apartments for short-term rentals, giving access to the building to these renters
Advice to owner:
The rat problem extends far beyond the building. That is a city issue. However, moving the garbage or securing it in a fully enclosed container would help keep the rats from the entrance to the building.
