"Up and coming" building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The best thing about this place are the large apts. Also, it is family friendly. I would say about 1/3 are professionals with young families, 1/3 are college/grad students, and 1/3 are lower-income folks who have been here for ages. New management is responsive and care about the property. They keep it clean, but common areas are a bit run down. Another pro is the sturdy thick walls -- keeps noise levels down.
Cons:
Rats around grounds of building. Roaches in my apt. Old building in need of renovations. Stairwell has cigarette butts. Doormen are not really doormen, more like security guards, except they don't really check people. Next door to a domestic violence/women's shelter. Dirty, dirty street with dog poop, rat holes/tunnels. High rent.

Great building, great location, great apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
I’ve had a two year lease here with 2 roommates. We got this apartment during Covid when prices were very low, and we knew we were getting an amazing place. Elevator, multiple floors of laundry, trash chutes on every floor, multiple doormen. Pest control that comes in monthly, one time I forgot to sign up and was able to get someone to come in. Our toilet broke and they installed a completely new toilet in a week. Our rent is going up, and my roommates and I are ready to part ways, otherwise I’d stay here forever. This location is also amazing, convient train and bus stops, so much good food around here.
Cons:
I really don’t have a lot of complaints other than the new management. The new landlord is a bit annoying and can come off as rude, but bottom line if you have an issue it gets done, which you really can’t say for every place. Also, it’s New York, nothing’s perfect and this place is worth the money all things considered. All in all, the pros outweigh the cons any day.
Advice to owner:
Honestly don’t really have anything to say. I personally had a great experience in this apartment, and it’s bittersweet to leave.

Clean and management is time efficient
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is always low level noise, the doormen are helpful and the elevators are always working. Management is always responsive quickly
Cons:
Trash is brought through the regular elevator so it tends to smell of it. There are some bugs but extirminators are hired every month
Advice to owner:
Renovate some of the apartments

Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly doormen and staff
Cons:
There was some riff raff outside the building, particularly during the summer months. Some elevator issues
Advice to owner:
Provide notice in advance of elevator repairs. Inspect property for any damages that require security deposit withholding more quickly.
