Great building, friendly staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are very nice and well maintained. Those on the front of the building have a good, unobstructed view with a soccer field across the street. Super and maintenance are quick to fix problems when they arise.
The building amenities are good, the gym on the first floor is small but usable. The washers and dryers in the basement work well and are usually not full.
The doormen are great! Very friendly and helpful at all times. Nice peace of mind to have them there whether packages are getting delivered or I’m getting home late.
Cons:
Not a big issue but amsterdam can be a bit loud sometimes, especially at night. Not as bad as Broadway but worse than non-Avenue apartments.
Advice to owner:
No advice, no real issues.

Pretty Okay, Some Issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love all of the doormen, neighbors are nice and considerate. Each unit controls their own heat, though the building is very well-insulated and I hardly use the radiator. Nice appliances, generally clean.
Cons:
Super is hard to get ahold of. Several washers/dryers have been out of order for months. Seen a couple roaches in unit and basement, but can count # on one hand. Renewal package was very late and leasing was a nightmare.
Advice to owner:
Take repair/maintenance requests seriously!

Good building to live in.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location for runners (close to Central Park and Riverside Park), 24/7 doorman, small but good/ complete gym, no noise!
Cons:
Neighbors could be nicer.
Advice to owner:
Keep the good work.

Great experience, kind management
Former Tenant
Pros:
I’ve lived here for three years. I wish I could have stayed for longer. This is a doorman, elevator, gym building. The super lives in the building on the 12th floor and he and his family are super nice. He and the management team are both very responsive and kind and generous. You have access to a small gym on the first floor. It is pet friendly but you will need to submit an application to the management which would take about one week. The trash area is clean. Exterminator comes every month but you have to sign up for it.
Cons:
Small pest problem. But after consistent exterminator for a couple of months, it’s not an issue anymore.
