Things to take into consideration before moving in
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is very close to two different subway lines.
Cons:
Mail theft is unbearable. At least 50-60% of the packages are stolen, and the building management doesn't give a damn about it. Even after reporting it to the police, it kept happening. It's one of the reasons we decided to move.
The noise is constant and intolerable. There is no peace.
On several occasions the elevator was out of service.
Management is inefficient and almost impossible to contact.
Advice to owner:
Pay attention to what is happening in your building, and take care of the safety of your tenants.

Way too loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice amount of space
Cons:
Horrible mouse problem. Management does not listen or do anything about the mice except put out these traps that don’t actually work.

Lovely Space with Some Hiccups
Former Tenant
Pros:
The units are very big and spacious. Pretty apartments with an elevator. Garbage management is easy, and the laundry room is super convenient
Cons:
We had a mouse problem in our 5th floor apartment that wasnt handled very well. Ended up spending a bunch of my own money to pest control our unit. One room in our unit also was never properly sealed from the outside, so I've had to deal with a mold-in-the-walls issue since I moved in.
Advice to owner:
I love this space so much, but upon move in the units should be SUPER pest-proofed. Also trust your tenants - if someone says there is a major issue (like mold in the walls) work with them to fix it instead of glossing over the issue).

Nice Apartment, Friendly Neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
- friendly neighbors - management usually prompt - laundry in basement
Cons:
- front door to building often broken - LOTS of people smoking in the hallways (it may blow straight into your apartment depending which unit you're in)
Advice to owner:
Do something about the hallway smoking!

Horrible building, horrible owner
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is nice. That's about it.
Cons:
This building is horrible, they never fix anything and if they do "fix it" it falls apart and we start the process all over again. There is mold everywhere. My ceiling is literally cracking and random pieces fall off every day. I'm scared it's going to cave in. And the building....not sure what his title is (not the Super) is an arrogant entitled twat that will talk to you like you're beneath him. Pretty sure he's racist. There's also rats all over the building............you can hear them inside walls. Ugh it is horrible here. The shower water changes drastically from burning hot to cold when you're in there.......everything is bad......some walls in our apartment are literally separating.
Advice to owner:
Fire that "building manager" or whoever you send to deal with problems. And really fix the problems not superficially. This building is going to cave in and you're going to have bigger problems.
