The stuff you see in movies and on TV
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway
Cons:
Building managers are RUDE on the phone. They apply false late charges. Lie about apartments rent-stabilization status. The building is 100 years old this year and falling apart. Cracks all over. Super is slow to fix anything and when he does it is done terribly. Buzzer has broken several times and each time it takes longer to get fixed. The roof leaks every time it rains. Rats & roaches have been a consistent problem. Drug dealers hang out in front of the building. The block is noisy year-round. Owned & operated by classic NYC slumlords. Avoid at all costs.
Advice to owner:
Sell. Get out of the business. This isn’t for you.
