All a facade.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location. That's it.
Cons:
EVERYTHING ! The management team was super unresponsive. They have one super who works in 4 buildings that are nowhere near each other. He is very kind and good at his job, but overworked. Constant water damage to my belongings, and apartment. Mold exposure.

Never had louder neighbors in my life. The barbershop outside have subwppfer battles into 3 or 4AM during summer. The neighbors played music so loud that frames actually fell off my walls. Other neighbors accused of stealing their phone from their unit we had never been in when they actually just misplaced it.
Advice to owner:
Re-evaluate the price of this place. It is not worth the sacrifices people must make to enjoy living here. Pay your super better, and hire more supers. He is great, but you are overworking him.

A spacious but LOUD apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The room is nice. Has a washer and dryer in unit. Lots of space. Not an amazing elevator but at least still has one. Neighbors in the building are chill.
Cons:
The neighborhood is loud, especially this block. Guys sit on the sidewalk with a big amplifier and still blast music till late into the night, but that's Washington Heights for you. The management has had problems holding on to building supervisors so getting things fixed has been challenging at times.
Advice to owner:
Would recommend they check up on tenants appliances every year and make sure they have everything working.

Cheap for a reason
Former Tenant
Pros:
Surprisingly quiet building, really nice multigenerational neighbors
Cons:
Elevator is super tiny and feels unstable. Super dirty trash area with rats and recurring issue with mice, roaches and bedbugs. New owners (as of 2018) more responsive about pests than previous management and sent exterminator right away. So the situation is getting better!
Advice to owner:
Fix elevator, address overwhelming trash situation to help control rat problem, treat adjacent apartments for pest issues reported by any tenant so the situation doesn’t spread.
