PTSD From 682 Acaedmy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice views from street-facing windows, and the super was responsive and kind, thank goodness.
Cons:
BEDBUGS three times in one bedroom within 4 years despite following cleaning rules from extermination company to a T, illegal washer hook-ups upstairs caused leaking into my kitchen & bathroom; days without hot water; management used to cash my rent checks late even though I'd put them in the mail prior to the first of each month and accuse me of not sending them in on time - when they switched to an online payment system in 2017 they couldn't lie about that anymore because I always paid on the first one the month (ha!); building management (which had been Dalan my entire time living at 682, could be different now!) rarely answered phones during business hours when we had major issues, resorting to us having to call 311 after being without hot water for multiple days; had to beg to get security deposit back but got it back in full literally 60 days after move-out, just skirting our rental contract's agreement date.
Advice to owner:
People live in these buildings, you know that, right? I hope you're doing better to take care of them.
