Insane amount of noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
New super and management is amazing and handles things so quickly. Community space with deck and incredible rooftop views. Very updated for the area and each apartment has two bathrooms. Free laundry, electronic entry and rent payments.
Cons:
The noise pollution is insane. We got unlucky with so much going on in this area right after we moved in. The building next door was demolished and being rebuilt, so construction starts at 7 am sharp literally right outside your window. It’s horrible. There’s also a tenant with a dog that barks all hours of the day and night, and a club in the actual basement. Like if you do your laundry any time between Thursday - Sunday you’ll likely run into staff and bouncers. Also with the club, the weekends it’s legitimate hard to get into the building because people line up in front of the door, and there’s inevitably a couple or some bros fighting outside every weekend. LES is already a noisy neighborhood in itself but this really takes the cake. They also keep their trash for the club where the laundry is so that’s concerning with pests. No windows in the common space so all heat/cold/light is supplied in bedrooms, literally a dungeon in the living room/kitchen. Move in was rough, they didn’t clean the apartment AT ALL from last tenants. No closets or any kind of storage space. We did have some issues with mice and roaches in the past as well.
Advice to owner:
Close the club. Otherwise have done a great job since purchasing.
