DO NOT MOVE HERE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Community of nice people
Cons:
Noise noise noise due to construction that has been ongoing for a few years.
Management unresponsive.
Heat breakdowns; water breakdowns all too frequent. Try sleeping in 29 degree F temps when heat goes off for hours and hours!
There are three buildings in Parker Towers complex. All have similar complaints.
Every staff member trained to lie to tenants about everything.
If interested in this complex, please RECONSIDER
Advice to owner:
They wouldn’t listen or care…

Overall Great Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Had a spectacular view! The doormen are THE BEST, especially Francisco. Management makes it feel like club med, with activities, etc. Lawn area is beautifully kept and a real plus. Management cares about social justice. Buildings are very diverse, especially for Forest Hills. Maintenance team is super responsive, through an easy online portal. Neighbors are friendly. Apartments are on the small side, compared to others in the area, but they're done nicely. Good appliances in the kitchen.
Cons:
If you want silence, this is not for you. Walls are thin. With so many rentals (aka many people not taking care of apartments like they should), there are definitely pests. They try to control it, but be ready to see some cockroaches and mice.
Advice to owner:
I know you're doing the best you can. I had a wonderful time at Parker Towers.

Lipstick on a Pig
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious for Queens
Close to public transportation
Upgrades and finishes are appreciated
Gym
Cons:
-Sound proofing doesn’t exist. Thin walls, door slamming, voices between walls between apartments. Outside wind sound is insane and sounds like a tornado is in your apartment.

-Says it’s dog friendly, but they only want dogs to release themselves in a small common area

-elevators are small. Forget about large luxurious furniture. No freight elevator so you often comingle with building staff

-moving in and out is a hassle. No truly reserved elevators and you are charged $100-200 per hour for every hour used of the elevator. Return apartment in mint condition or security deposit will be drawn down to $0
Advice to owner:
Stop with the signs or communicate better via email news letters.

Fix the door pressure so there are less door slamming

Luxury Garbage! DONT BOTHER
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location by Austin st is the only pro
Cons:
Everything is wrong with this building and the management. FILTHY. You can hear the mice scratching at the walls at night. Smells like garbage and roaches everywhere.
Advice to owner:
Fine people who leave garbage outside their doors.
