Mediocre experience, watch out for pest issues

Pros:
-Location was close to the subway and to buses, and not that far from Central Park North
-Super was nice and helpful
Cons:
-Had cockroach and mice issues which I had to call an exterminator to fix.
-Often very noisy neighbors, and building was once under lockdown due to a dangerous presence on one of the upper floors.

My apartment was broken into a few years ago and the security cameras “didn’t have footage available” when the cops showed up. I suspect it was an inside job

Decency is free.

Neighbours are quiet
Cons:
Building is showing it age
Overall layout is weird, water pressure is terrible, bathroom layout is questionable. Not “upgraded” as it’s claimed in listings. Lacks cleanliness. Laundry machines are terrible. Do not wash properly and they dryers do not dry properly. The machines are constantly broken.
Super/neighbours complain about music even if is during daytime.
Not worth the price.
Advice to owner:
Be honest with your listings and spot overcharging

Pros:
Great super, low cost rent, renovated unit, great management
Cons:
The neighborhood is not safe and some tenants reflected this. One tenant was screaming in the hallway and shattered the front window. Another tenant stood in the hallway with a loud speaker daily and when asked to move, would swear and become agressive. A homeless person once fell asleep in the trash area and wasn’t found until 9 am the next morning.
Advice to owner:
Laundry in building needs to be managed better and tenants need to be held accountable for actions

Cons:
An insane amount of roaches in the entire building, even with an exterminator nothing helped. Floors are slanted and there is one outlet per room.

Review living at 315 E108th

Pros:
Rent wasn’t too bad for a 1 bedroom on the Upper East Side, and the current super is usually nice and helpful.
Cons:
I had both a mouse and roach problem for a few months. First I spotted roaches in my kitchen and mini roaches in other rooms of the house. Then I saw a mouse in the space under the bedroom radiator and again in the cracks by the living room window.

In-building laundry, nice super, and overall safe building
Cons:
In my unit there is no storage closet for essentials like brooms or mops, and the bathroom is very small.

Cons:
Lots of water bugs, but the building has a bi-weekly pest service that solves the problem!

Be more understanding of residents during the Covid crisis

This building is always immaculate thanks to a wonderful super, who is helpful, kind, and extremely responsive. The building is extremely well-maintained.
