Review Summary for Yehuda Miller
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews of YEHUDA MILLER's buildings reveal significant management challenges. While some properties boast attractive features like high ceilings, location convenience, and friendly neighbors, common issues include poor responsiveness, persistent pest infestations, mold, and inadequate maintenance. Many tenants report untreated water damage, faulty heating, and cleanliness problems, as well as unsafe conditions like electrical hazards and freezing gas outages. Communication is often unreliable, and some management behaviors are described as dismissive or rude. Although a few buildings have attentive supers and some amenities, overall renters advise caution due to neglect, slow repairs, and lack of tenant care.

Aloof, greedy management neglects gorgeous property and health of tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
High Ceilings, decent rent, updated appliances, beautiful apartments if cared properly for. Convenient to park, and shops.
Cons:
Management does not respond to maintenance requests. Tickets submitted through the portal go unanswered for months. We moved into unpainted, dirty walls and dealt with a severe mice infestation that was ignored until we contacted 311. There has been human feces left in the basement after flooding that tenants had to clean themselves. Most recently, wastewater leaked through our ceiling and poured out of our light fixtures, creating a major health and electrical hazard. Management told us to “let it dry.” Mold issues in the bathroom have also gone unresolved. Emergency phone numbers rarely pick up, and basic repairs are consistently ignored.
Advice to owner:
Take tenant safety seriously. Respond to portal tickets, hire licensed professionals for plumbing, electrical, and sanitation issues, and establish a real emergency line. Address mold, flooding, and waste problems immediately. This building needs proper management, not dismissive responses. Take pride in your properties, relationship with tenants and be better.

Not bad, Not Great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the train, dishwasher, in a fun neighborhood with lots to do.
Cons:
Apartment layout was way too small and cramped, floors are slanted, ceiling leaked. The management was semi helpful, but not always the most responsive.

Overall Nice Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
No pests, many amenities, quick maintenance repairs, decent management communication but can be better
Cons:
Walls are thin so you can hear a lot noises. Things do tend break down a little often (elevator, laundry, water pressure/temp/running) but they do get fixed within 24-48 hours after management is contacted. No front desk security, backyard and gym is not maintained very often.
Advice to owner:
Hire a front desk person

A Little Better Than Average
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good layout, all rooms get light
Cons:
Pitiful bathroom, outdated and grimy kitchen
Advice to owner:
Renovate the kitchen and bathroom

Poorly maintained - mold everywhere
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great folks living here, pet friendly
Cons:
When the building was new you could overlook poor maintenance. The day to day cleaning of the place is great but the super and management company might as well not exist. The gym is full of mold from a leak in the roof that has been there more than 9 months. Packages were constantly being stolen and the company did nothing until someone who broke in steal packages threatened a tenant with a crowbar. The backyard is full of rotting wood that used to be furniture. Nothing is maintained and rent keeps going up.
Advice to owner:
Respond to tenants and do something about all of the backlog of maintenance. Hire an actual super

Worst Management in Brooklyn
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean and the neighborhood is wonderful. The windows are great and it has good amenities.
Cons:
* UPDATE * I am not in the process of seeking legal action because they wanted to keep my security deposit to paint the apartment for their family. Avoid this shoddy management company like the plague. You'll never get an honest word out of them.

They're lazy, cheap, and will nickel and dime you every step of the way. They are untrustworthy and will do anything, even break laws, to get as much money from you as possible. If the building wasn't so nice, I would run away from this management team and never look back.
Advice to owner:
* UPDATE * I hope this company gets shut down. Your practices are disgusting and you should be ashamed. You are the least trustworthy management company I have ever encountered. You coast on the fact that you got lucky with nice buildings but you do almost nothing to maintain them. You could try being a little responsive and pretending like you care about your tenants, it's the least you could do.

Good Super, Weird Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The gym, laundry and rooftop were always great. My roommates and I lived on the 1st floor / Basement, and we never saw any bugs or pest in our home within the 2 years we were there. Management was also great when people in the neighborhood were stealing are packages.
Cons:
Even though the super is responsive to any fixing issues within the home, management was very rude to us when carbon monoxide came into our home. Told the 911 fire fighters to leave the building alone. Had to call the fire department twice to basically yell at management to fix their pipes or we would die. lol.
Advice to owner:
Public backyard was always gross, wish there was better management on that

Always know when the L has arrived
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central a/c, heat controlled by tenants, killer location, roof access
Cons:
Bikes line the stairwell so it’s impossible to bring large objects upstairs. Top floor has lots of leaking issues. Super loud! There was awful construction going on for 4 years and now I’m addicted to sleeping pills cuz the noise of that plus the train announcements below are blaring.

It is what it is, for me it was my first real home :)
Former Tenant
Pros:
neighbors are friendly, building is located between the L and M trains, and theres a really good bagel store around the corner. Lots of shopping on knickerbocker ave, grocery store right down the street. Roof has beautiful views.
Cons:
hallway is genuinely filthy, and usually full of people hanging out, the people are nice and will always move if you ask, but they are constantly smoking in the hall. Survived most of the year without pests, but by the end of it there were a couple mice and a couple roaches, as well as a lot of gnats in the summer (but that may have been our fault because of our plants). The building does provide monthly extermination upon request, and provides mouse traps.
Advice to owner:
just clean the stairs plz, they are so nasty. And maybe dont smoke in the hallway, or at least pick up the butts/roaches

pretty nice lol
Former Tenant
Pros:
penthouse apartments are nice, lots of light
Cons:
the hallway and stairwell are FILTHY and there are always people hanging out there
Advice to owner:

Leaning Tower of Bushwick
Former Tenant
Pros:
Ridiculously close to the train. Always parking outside. AC/heat and water works well. Always friendly neighbors and nice back yard.
Cons:
SUPER SLANTED FLOORS, at least on the 3rd floor. The building is sinking and tilted east at a solid 10° angle. Endless rats outside all the time. Half the block is non residential and permanently dirty, including a giant puddle that stays there all year long. The management company is completely non responsive unless you get someone’s phone number and call repeatedly. Truck yard next door and construction across the street means loud noise in the mornings sometimes. Also one of the buildings behind sometimes has really loud parties every once in a while.
Advice to owner:
Better maintenance and cleaning.

Okay place to live!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively new and refurbished, nice light, kind of clean, central air and heat as well as washer/dryer in unit.
Cons:
This building either has hard water or something else is wrong with the pipes. The walls are incredibly thin, and I can hear upstairs neighbors moving around frequently. Maintenance is not super responsive.
Advice to owner:
Be a bit more present with cleaning/fixing appliances.

Worst apartment in BK
Former Tenant
Pros:
There is a gym in the building and central air
Cons:
You could hear the tenants drop the weights at the gym. Management was unresponsive.
Advice to owner:
Have better upkeep for the building
Cute building, slightly dilapidated
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment is beautiful with lots of windows and exposed brick. Lots of families in the neighborhood and other building tenants are generally kind. Central A/C and heat.
Cons:
Water stains in the ceiling, other somewhat minor but annoying parts where the building just isn't that well maintained. Takes a lot of pestering for the landlord to come fix any problem.
Advice to owner:
Care more about the quality of the building
Over 4 years ago
It’s ok needs a little work
Former Tenant
Pros:
Balcony rooftop backyard
Cons:
A lot of times there’s no hot water and management acts like they don’t care too much about any other problems you bring to their attention. Building needs security in the lobby
Advice to owner:
Building needs security in the lobby

All Around Decent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Updated appliances, finishes. Balconies are spacious. Laundry in building. Packages are easily delivered.
Cons:
AC/Heat unit takes up a lot of wall/floor space, is VERY loud. Management often takes longer to reply to maintenance requests than desired.

869 park ave review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rooftop, gym, elevator
Cons:
Poor management, rowdy neighbors
Infested with everything, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful spaces in a good location, the rooms have huge ceilings and nice lighting. Beautiful roof. None of these things outweigh the cons though.
Cons:
Oh man where to begin. There is evidently a mouse problem in the building though some of the units seem to be rodent-proofed well. I’ve seen mice in the hallway plenty. In the winter months rats infest the streetfacing wall. Like nonstop squealing and scratching, multiple rodent bodies moving around. The sound goes on all winter and will make you insane. The management hires the cheapest exterminators with a 1 star review who take the smallest steps toward resolution, then claim they are doing everything in their power to resolve to truly no avail. Once it warms up the rats do go away but you can’t rely on management to do anything about it for the 6 months of the year it’s cold outside. You’ll just fall asleep to rats living in your walls every night for months. Luckily they do go away in the summer but then come the cockroaches and water bugs that completely take over the kitchen. Oh and a family of squirrels live under the bathtub with a clearly developed trail they’ve created from outside the bathroom windows . The fruit store below blasts music, every single day from 8am-8pm and it shakes the building and the management there is also very rude if you ever have to deal with them. They also have a dj outside in the summer. The building itself is beautiful but evident it is falling apart. There is foam filling in various corners and moldings. The backyard is completely, disturbingly trashed with all sorts of garbage.

There is a nest of mites in the middle wall between the two units on the second floor that also come into your apt and bite you in your sleep.

On top of this the management is a group of rude, unhelpful individuals. They take days to respond and always blame you for whatever is going on. They don’t tell you when they are coming and in the remote working life they’ve interrupted many important meetings. They will threaten to withhold security deposit if you get too persistent with requesting things to be fixed, but then barge into your apartment without notice for their own needs.
Advice to owner:
It’s so frustrating when management companies own property to make money rather than have a good reputation. It’s unfortunate this company doesn’t care about the tenants whatsoever. I have no advice to the property owner, because I have no hope they will change. But I strongly advise to everyone else to avoid renting with this management group at all costs.

You all need an attitude check and to be better to your tenants. Without us you would not get paid. It is unfortunate it is such a harsh process in this city to get approved for an apartment but not get to approve your landlords. Regal Management is the worst building group I’ve ever worked with and will avoid them at all costs. I urge everyone to avoid them too.

Slum Lord Yehudah Miller
Former Tenant
Pros:
Less than half a block from the L train Harrison Pl exit at Morgan stop.
Places to eat close by.
24 hour grocery 1 block away.
Cons:
You will pay a fortune in heating and it won’t even heat the entire place. There is no broiler because the landlord had it taken out. I didn’t realize it was illegal until a friend suggested I call the department of buildings. The heaters provided are gas and the pipe it comes from is exposed.

The water pressure sucks and the water turns everything in the shower orange. The tub never drains properly.

Any repairs are always done improperly and on the cheap. And untimely. Once the heavy cabinets almost came off the walls and a friend had to cut 4x4s to prop them up.

The hallway is never cleaned.

Usually a lot of construction happening across the street or nearby.

The windows aren’t properly insulated.
Flies and mosquitoes in the summer months.

High turn over with neighbors who leave after they figure things out.

Overpriced
Advice to owner:
Stop treating your tenants so poorly.
