Noisy and dirty. Poor communication
Former Tenant
Pros:
The space has a nice layout and is spacious and the location is somewhat convenient
Cons:
The shared space is consistently in poor condition, with thin walls that make the noise levels unbearable. Someone frequently uses an excessively loud sound system, and the bass vibrates through the floors and walls. There are also ongoing issues with the heat and water, including problems with temperature control, pressure, dirtiness, and leaks from other floors. Radiator leaks are a persistent issue, causing damage to the flooring, which is now rotting in some areas. This raises concerns about potential mold growth between the floors. Normal amount of pests throughout the building, mostly roaches.
Advice to owner:
Spend some of that money you’re making to renovate some of these areas. Stop patching things and fix them properly

4 out of 5
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location. Rent stabilized. Quiet neighbors. Small building.
Cons:
The apartments are really old, and that comes with the occasional repairs that need to be done. Minor inconveniences.

Not that great
Former Tenant
Pros:
The garbage man is really good and nice
Cons:
Roaches, come often about often and I’m high up in the building, and keep my place SUPER clean. This should not be happening.
Advice to owner:
Do better please

Enjoyable first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, beautiful pre war building and apartment with large windows and natural light. Clean.
Cons:
Elevator was out of order a lot (lived on 6th floor), slow response from super and management (door knob fell off of the bathroom door and I was stuck in there for a couple of hours) Ceiling caved in and flooded the hallway, they kept putting a bandaid on the problem until finally fixing the roof. Needs to update kitchen appliances. Water was either scolding or cold.
Advice to owner:
Talk to the super to be more responsive or hire a more responsive super.

Best place to live for my first year in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved the cleanliness, huge rooms, updated appliances.
Cons:
The management wasn’t very responsive on nights and weekends. I had an incident where I left my keys at home and no one at the management office or the assigned super could let me into my apartment. I had to get a hotel for the night and then sit in the lobby until my luggage showed up with my key.
Advice to owner:
An on site super is ideal! Loved living here.

Love Our Cozy Home
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s situated on a quiet street across from a family friendly park. There’s a big vestibule to store strollers, bikes, etc. Our unit has a beautiful private backyard. When we moved in the management company was kind enough to replace lights that weren’t working and an appliance that wasn’t up to par. No hassle at all about it either!
Cons:
Not the best curb appeal and sometimes the door doesn’t close securely behind you when you leave but other than that, it’s really lovely.
Advice to owner:
My only suggestion would be to improve curb appeal of the building. Everything else is great.

Fine for what it is
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quite, decent rent, refuse shoot, pet friendly, good location
Cons:
Pests pests pests and management does bare minimum. Poor infrastructure, radiator flooded living room twice, leak from bathroom one level up.
