Review Summary for Christine Renzi
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Tenant reviews of properties managed by Christine Renzi indicate a mixed experience. Many tenants praise the responsive and communicative management, appreciating timely fixes and helpful landlords. Common positives include good locations, decent apartment sizes, and well-maintained common areas. However, pest control remains a significant problem in some buildings, particularly mice infestations, with several tenants feeling issues were inadequately addressed. Cleanliness and garbage management vary, with some complaints about dingy hallways and garbage areas. Heating systems are sometimes inconsistent, and noise levels fluctuate by building. Overall, management is viewed as attentive when contacted, but persistent maintenance and pest problems impact tenant satisfaction.

Nice Size, Adequate Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, size of the units is great.
Cons:
Consistent mouse problem that took two years of living there to address and seemed to matter very little to the owners. No issues with bugs. Some noisy neighbors made it difficult to sleep in. It could also be difficult to get the super to help out with issues that were clearly a problem, like a leak in the wall.
Advice to owner:
More or more effective staff on your team of supers would probably help you service your buildings better.

MICE INFESTED owners did bare minimum to deal with it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Really unique loft style apartment layout with lots of space and flexible use
Cons:
Crazy mice infestation, had a mouse chew through my bed sheets and found poop under my pillow and landlords zoned the building as a commercial property which disallowed us to hire a real exterminator. The owners just send the super to give us glue traps which were useless. Never was informed of this issue before signing the lease, and i know multiple other units had this issue too.

Nice super, great price, amazing location, regular pest control / no bug or rodent issues

Very small rooms/bathrooms, no living area, radiator leaked once but was fixed promptly

Responsive Management and decent circumstances
Former Tenant
Pros:
- The management team gets back to us within minutes and at-most an hour for any requests, questions, or concerns
- Decently clean, it's an older building, but the first floor is diligently cleaned and the trash is behind the building and secluded.
- Water pressure is great, heat is also included and decent
Cons:
- Don't really have much to say here, you get what you pay for and I havent had any issues with the apartment,

Excellent location but limited apartment space.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location. Close to parks and excellent food.
Near the L subway
Cons:
Very small, but that’s what you’ll find everywhere is this area.

Hallways can be dirty at times.

Area around the building can be dangerous late at night.
Advice to owner:
Clean the hallways more often

Wonderful family-run building management!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management and landlords were extremely helpful during my lease period. Would recommend the building to anybody looking for a smooth rental process and consistent communication throughout the rental term.
Cons:
The noise levels on streetside locations can be difficult as there is a school across the street, but it is not unbearable. In-building neighbors were extremely respectful with noise levels, and I never had any issues.
Advice to owner:
Possible increase in communications/security regarding mail area.

Great natural light
Former Tenant
Pros:
- plenty of natural light
- affordable for the area
- responsive maintenance
Cons:
- heat turned on and off by the building (boiler in the basement) means you have no control
- no elevator
- packages are stolen often when left in the foyer
- no built-in closets
Advice to owner:
Keep doing what you're doing
