Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Danny Rahimzada reveals a mixed picture of management quality. While some residents appreciate responsive communication and reasonable heating, many highlight persistent issues suchas pest infestations (mice, roaches), cleanliness problems, and neglected maintenance. Garbage management and common areas often receive poor marks, with some buildings described as dirty or unsafe. Several tenants report unaddressed repair needs, untimely pest control, and occasional safety concerns. Rent increases and lack of upgrades also cause dissatisfaction. Overall, the management appears inconsistent, with some tenants feeling neglected, suggesting a need for more proactive maintenance, better responsiveness, and improved tenant relations.

Old building with old problems
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good natural light, bedroom space, lots of storage, respectful neighbors, no pests
Cons:
Bike shop noisy and crowded, old problems handled with bandaids not fixes, semi-responsive management (takes a while and persistence to accomplish anything), VERY cold winter
Advice to owner:
Invest in fixing problems not band-aiding them

Not a good experience.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good restaurants nearby. Citibike dock down the street. No pet fee.
Cons:
Constantly dirty inside and outside of the building (trash piling up outside, trash/dirt on stairs). They lied on the tours/open house and said that there was roof access (there is no roof access). Washing machines/dryers in the building left my clothes with powdery lint so I had to use a nearby laundromat. Maintenance requests are slow to answer and the repairs are not very good (our sink was leaking twice in one year because they didn’t do a good job). Road noise and yelling is an everyday occurrence between 12-3am most nights if your bedroom faces the street. Landlord tried to illegally withhold our security deposit.

Solid apartment but no keypad access
Former Tenant
Pros:
good location, that’s about it
Cons:
no washer dryer in building, no keypad for front door entry (so if you didn’t have your outdoor key on you at all times you’re SOL), small room
Advice to owner:
please put a keypad in the front of the building f

426 w 47th
Former Tenant
Pros:
the kitchen and bathroom seem to be newlyish renovated, but not well. The apartment is quiet
Cons:
I don’t even know who the landlord is, and if they live on site. They aren’t responsive anyways. The entrance area and stairs are never clean. The building floors and stairs are uneven. When a maintenance issue arises, are needs are not met- a quick fix is applied rather than an actual solution. Sometimes they shut off the water without warning for hours and never give us notice/explanation.
Advice to owner:
Be nicer and more available to your tenant. Clean the lobby and common areas on each floor. Get better laundry machines.

Solid starter apartment in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively quiet for the area, solid location
Cons:
Things break a lot given how old the building is and the fixes are always patchwork not addressing actual problems. Laundry machines in basement are old and essentially useless, always breaking. Apartment was dirty and needed painting (which the owner refused) upon move-in.
Advice to owner:
Address your tenants needs more to prevent turnover

Nice neighborhood, very responsive owners
Former Tenant
Pros:
Peaceful yet in the middle of the action, surrounded by restaurants, delis, liquor stores and Duane Reade, etc. Owner is very responsive and always a pleasure to deal with.
Cons:
No elevator, which can be challenging sometimes.
Advice to owner:
Apartments can use some renovation.

Decent building but has issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
- true 2 BR with separate livingroom - good fridge - closets have space - good water pressure in shower
Cons:
- broker fee - no doorman - no elevator - ugly views - little/no sunlight - water pressure in bathroom sink is low - pest issue (mice/cockroaches) - exterminator did not arrive when they said they would - little counter space - could not control heat (often got too hot) - AC is dirty (all repairs/management have to be handled by tenant) - any AC purchased belongs to apartment owner
Advice to owner:
Fix the cons:
- broker fee - no doorman - no elevator - ugly views - little/no sunlight - water pressure in bathroom sink is low - pest issue (mice/cockroaches) - exterminator did not arrive when they said they would - little counter space - could not control heat (often got too hot) - AC is dirty (all repairs/management have to be handled by tenant) - any AC purchased belongs to apartment owner

Good starter, but not for long-term
Former Tenant
Pros:
Small walkup (only 3 floors max), Washer and dryer in units, Feels secure, Close to lots of subways, Great restaurants in the area
Cons:
Non-responsive super, Online rent payment incurs a fee, Building says "337-339" which confuses deliveries (mail and food, etc.), Always police and ambulances on the street, Gate was put up with a code that no one knew, Was never added to the building emailing list after asking multiple times

It’s a fine place to live
Cons:

Worth Management EVER & Mice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Unit was big & location
Cons:
Management is the biggest team of scums!! Huge mice infestation & completely unresponsive. They push every tenant out yearly with the increase in rent & every single year tenants try to get legal teams involved. Had dead mice in the unit during a massive infestation. Washer & dryer broke regularly & repaired never helped. Utility bills were INSANE & coned said they could never get in the building to check the meters so they “estimated”. Around $300 monthly is utilities.
