Good affordable option
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is great. Management cleans the common area at least once a week. Pest control is available once a month if needed but we’ve had minimal issues (a few roaches over the span of multiple years but nothing crazy). The back of the building is super quiet but I imagine units on the front get much more noise (the street is especially busy on the weekends in the summer as there are a ton of restaurants/bars with outdoor seating). Rent increases are very reasonable and the management company is willing to negotiate if you’re a good tenant. The building is mostly young post grads so some neighbors can be noisey but it’s usually just on weekends and never so bad that I can’t sleep.
Cons:
Tenants can’t control the heat so some units do end up over heated.

Nice NYC Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, nice neighbors, responsive super, and decent space
Cons:
Could get really hot in both winter and summer. Had some ground in dirt from years and years ago, hard to keep apartment looking clean. Overall, older NYC apartment with some of the same issues as other ones

THE BEST APT EVER
Former Tenant
Pros:
I've lived in this building for four years and never want to leave. I live on the sixth floor and the walk-up is seriously the only con to the building. James, the live-in super, is quite literally the best "amenity" of the apartment. He is SO nice and super responsive; whatever issue we've had (very minimal - lose toilet seat, for ex) has been resolved within 24 hrs, but honestly usually within an hour. The neighbors in the building are so sweet and so is the management. The unit is small, but the kitchen is up to date and we have washer/dryer.
Cons:
It's a sixth-floor walk-up, but honestly, it's so worth it for the great light we get in the building.
Advice to owner:
None.
