Love Penny Lane!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall amazing experience living at Penny Lane. The super and doormen are all fantastic. I lived there for 3 years and can honestly say that I never once heard my neighbors. Oddly enough, the garbage/recycling room was one of my favorite features. It was well-organized with designated spots for everyday recycling, clothing recycling, compost, dry cleaning hangers, you name it. There is also a community corner where you could leave items you no longer wanted and take things for free (books, decor, housewares, etc.) The building’s rooftop was also an underutilized perk - it is not particularly visually appealing but always a nice quiet spot for fresh air.
Cons:
In the 3 years that I lived there, I caught 30+ mice in my apartment. The building management was very responsive and attempted to remedy the problem each time I contacted them, but to no avail. (Note that I do not know if this was an issue for any other units in the building, and may have been exacerbated by construction occurring at the building next door.)
