Former Tenant
Pros:
The staff is wonderful here. Always watching out for tenants. The landlord is a family who owns several buildings and they pride themselves on running well maintained buildings.
Cons:
The improvements have been slow to come in the Grand Tier. This landlord charges as much as they can get. In this environment it’s a lot. They are raising rents at a fast pace. The hallways need new wallpaper and carpeting. Wallpaper is peeling. Carpets are dirty. Nothing has been changed.
They have always been difficult about dogs. They allow them but owners have to use the service entrance.

Water pressure is bad. AC and heating systems regularly fail in apartments and while the responsiveness is appreciated you know it’s a matter of time before your heater or ac will break down.
Windows are not soundproof and if you face Broadway you will never get a sound night sleep.
It was a mistake not to spend money on better windows. For the amount of rent paid, things one this should not be an issue
Advice to owner:
Improve the building. There are too many new luxury buildings in the city and you are resting on an old reputation.
