Good location and management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is extremely responsive and helpful, the building is never too loud and is well taken care of, and the neighbors always seemed nice. Great location, close to a ton of train lines!
Cons:
There are smaller rooms, elevator could be slow at times

Apartment is alright
Former Tenant
Pros:
no roach/bug/noise problems.
Cons:
Apartments are extremely cramped though, no A/C. Garbage management is weird, chute is closed and the super comes and cleans it up everyday outside. Water tweaked out once and filled the tub, wouldn't drain. Small rooms, gets easily dirty. Ok price.

Overall good building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice kitchen size, elevators are reliable, no major issues
Cons:
No windows in living room for C units. Older pipes lead to brown water when haven’t used water in a while.

11 Maiden Lane
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super takes good care of building; cleans floors frequently and good garbage management. No pest issues at all for the year I have lived here.
Cons:
The C units do not have windows in the living room. Construction sometimes was annoying at night. Bedrooms tiny, full bed barely fits. Drainage in kitchen sink and shower is not great, have to use draino alot and must clean out twice a week or more.

Pros and cons
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice location. Super is responsive. Shared spaces are cleaned daily.
Cons:
Elevators and washing machines occasionally didn't work. Doors did not isolate noise at all, so can hear into other apartments from the outside and hear outside from inside. Extremely small space and poor lighting. Heater sometimes wasn't on when it was cold outside or it's very high even though it was warm outside. Drainage issues.

Building is fine
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent is on the cheap side, location is convenient, super is responsive, lobby and floors are kept clean.
Cons:
Elevator is slow (but seems to have sped up after recent repairs), laundry machines can get packed, rooms/kitchens are on the small side.
Advice to owner:
The heat doesn’t need to be so aggressive!

Great location for first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Edie, the super, is very on top of things. He’s a man of few words but is responsible and responsive when there’s a concern. If you respect the building and his hours, since he lives there, he will pull through and help when needed. We never had any pest issues.
Cons:
Maiden Lane can be a little gritty but you can’t beat the location. You’re a short walk to the west side highway and the seaport and Fulton station. It can be a little desolate in the middle of winter but other than that it’s a solid building.
