Landlord is evil!!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Can’t think of any. Our days at 59 Grand was a nightmare.
Cons:
Where do I start... The landlord (Louis Perlman) is a greedy piece of s**t who increased the rent on us during Covid. He threatened us for evicting and then when we left he came after us for the days who couldn’t rent because of the ridiculous rent he was asking.
The building is not maintained well, the apartment had mice issues and pest controls were far from being professional (some random contractor checking in on us one every month). Our mice issue was never resolved.
You’ll be charged $600 dollars if you’re 5 days late with payment. Landlord will do anything to get every single penny out of you.
We never got our deposit back because landlord said re-painting the apartment cost him $3000!!!! He’s a complete nutcase and made our stay at 59 Grand a total hell.
The apartment was dark and we were paying $6,200 for it. So not worth it. Stay away from this building at all costs
Advice to owner:
Be a decent human being. Do not increase rent on your tenants during Covid-19. Don’t take advantage of people who trust your establishment.
