DO NOT !
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great food options in the area and easy access to transportation
Cons:
I've never seen anyone clean the common area of the building, full garbage bags are left on the first floor, dead cockroaches on the stairs and living ones in my apartment....the building is not upkept in any form. Don't expect to sleep either because the noise level late at night into the early morning hours is absurd.
Advice to owner:
maintain the property better, listen to your tenants needs

I liked it here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The windows are very thick so you rarely hear any outside noise, the owner was pretty responsive to fixing a sink leak as well as pest control. Apartment is very well heated during the winter months.
Cons:
No air conditioning, and the space is pretty small for what you pay. The water pressure on the kitchen sink went down after they fixed the leak but the bathroom was fine so we live.

Fine pre-war building with reasonable management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent is very competitive. Owner/management responds within 1 business day, usually the same day. Handyman comes same day for certain fixes. Neighborhood is cute with a delightful cafe, rice roll shop, and 2 art galleries right outside. Monthly pest control inspection of the outside hallway. no agent fee at least for when signing up dec 2021
Cons:
These are limitations due to the pre-war nature of the building. Like other old buildings, the heat pipes make clanging sounds at night when heating is used. Earplugs block out the noise for the most part (if you use window film, most days you won’t need to turn in the heater which also prevents the noise).
Small (600SF?), There is 1 month in the summer where the first floor gets roaches (maybe 3 a week). This could have been due to the construction outside scaring them inside. Hard to tell which trash belong to which trashcans.
Advice to owner:
wish people would place the trash outside instead of at the back of the first floor
