Unresponsive building manager
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments looked very nice—my unit was newly renovated. There was surprisingly little noise considering how close it was to the subway tracks, and the rooms facing the street receive a lot of natural light. Generally nice neighbors except for one unit.
Cons:
Building manager (Fred) was largely unhelpful—when he did fix things, it took forever. My next-door neighbor’s window was broken for around a month before it got around to fixing it. He neglected to thoroughly check security footage when packages/belongings were taken from common areas, didn’t keep the stairwell looking clean, and did nothing when the locked door stopped reliably closing. He also hasn’t changed the codes to the building for almost two years. Secondarily, the square footage is extremely limited and the stairs are also extremely steep, but not much can be done about that.
Advice to owner:
Be more attentive and more concerned with the security of the building.

Grimy building overpriced apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not much besides laundry
Cons:
Rats outside at night. Overpriced. My tiny room had no natural light and they raised the rent on me and had an attitude. Building overall is grimy and small
