Overall would recommend, but it's not perfect
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautifully renovated
No pests, great pest control (visits every month regardless)
Updated appliances
Responsive management
Cons:
Renovations look good, but were poorly done
Landlord does not have a good relationship with some neighbors
Some neighbors are extremely loud
Units that are not updated have recurring problems that impact other units
Maintenance seems to be done as cheap as possible, so problems are only ever temporarily fixed
Lots of homeless people/drug use on the surrounding streets
Water was regularly cold, brown, or turned off completely
Heat/AC broke occasionally
Cracks in the walls throughout the entire building
Advice to owner:
You would save more money in the long run if you found permanent solutions to building issues, rather than putting bandaids over them

Not great but liveable
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is renovated which is nice.
Cons:
The bookstore below gives out needles so there are always crackheads outside. It’s the same building owner so they won’t leave.

Apartment layout isn’t great either

Also some of the rooms have no light
