Good location, but with roaches and smokers
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlord lives in 2D Responds quickly to messages, though only does the bare minimum to maintain apartment (I mean he's a landlord)
Cons:
Roaches are frequent in all seasons Floor in-unit is misshapen and warped, with splinters often coming out of the hardwood. There are at least a couple smokers in the building. The smell reaches my units (and others, according to others in the building). It's not a non-smoke building, and they are long-term tenants, so it's not likely that the smoking will stop anytime soon. Broker fee about the same as one month's rent Backyard and rooftop not maintained at all
Advice to owner:
Own fewer properties so you can focus on well-maintaining the ones you do have. You have literally one job, do it well.
