Overall an alright apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has an elevator
Dishwasher in unit
Laundry in basement
Management was flexible with payments if someone was late by a few days
Roof access with great view
2 bathrooms in our unit
Great alphabet city location, lots of bars and food
Package locker in the lobby
Friendly super.
Cons:
Every summer the apt would be infested with bees.
Mice in the walls that management refused to do anything about because “‘mice are a part of NYC”
Management was slow to respond to maintenance, but the super was great. Heat went out one winter because of old pipes and it took Gideon 2 weeks to fix it.
Management listed the unit across from ours as an Air bnb and didnt care so it was always loud. Guests would always manage to lock themselves and would bang on our apt door
Small rooms and the dishwasher didn’t work for the entire 2 years I lived there.
Far from the train (roughly 15 minutes walking). Even though we had package lockers, a lot of carriers were too lazy to use them so packages got stolen. The elevator was shaky and scary. The recycling bins were too small and would fill up super quick. Rent was extremely high for the area.
Advice to owner:
Make sure there are no mice in the walls, get rid of the bees. Lower your prices. Make the elevator not shake.

Just an ok nyc apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful city view
Natural lighting lots of windows
Elevator
Laundry in building
Nice roof
Cons:
Hard to get in touch with management
Heat went out 6 times in the winter and the unit would drop below 50°, despite the legality of it, management refused to help
Drafty windows so expect to pay a lot in heating and air conditioning
Recycling bins are tiny so there is trash everywhere
Loud neighbors
far walk from any train station
Unsafe street for women
Stolen packages
