3 Year Tenant Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the proximity to gorgeous Tompkins Square Park, as well as a number of neighborhood community gardens. The building as a basement laundry room that’s accessible and easy to use, as well as a trash and recycling room.
Cons:
The apartments are quite small with not a ton of privacy if you’re living with roommates. There’s been a number of maintenance issues over the years including leaks in walls and ceilings, water outages, and heat outages in the winter time. The bathrooms and kitchen are pretty outdated and the bathroom has no fan system so it gets muggy and traps mold pretty easily. There have also been a number of mice and cockroach sightings without a lot of help or attention from the building. The West facing apartments have balcony’s with beautiful views but they are unfortunately not kept to code and there are a flock of 100ish pigeons who have taken them over and make it difficult to enjoy outdoor time.

Don’t move here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, laundry in building
Cons:
Horrible management, had to threaten to Sue and file complaints for anything to be done. Drug dealer living in first floor, crackheads in lobby
Advice to owner:
Do you hate your tenants?

Pros:
I enjoyed the size of my apartment and the location for sure. Definitely a plus that we had laundry in the building as well. The virtual doorman was great. Location is most important I think.
Cons:
My unit wasn’t the most maintained but I heard they’re renovating which is great!

East Village Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building had a great location, with good access to a couple of grocery spots and a couple of lovely community gardens. It's very charming and cute and we enjoyed the energy of this apartment building.
Cons:
We ended up discovering increasingly more roaches, as well as a couple of mice throughout our time at this apartment. It was getting worse by the time we left in July 2021. It also skyrocketed in price from when we first signed, and got too ridiculous as the rooms are not the biggest.
Advice to owner:
It definitely needs to be inspected and fixed for pest problems, likely that got worse during the pandemic. Also, it's becoming too overpriced for how small it is.

Subpar super (and thats generous)
Former Tenant
Pros:
next to a community garden great location good water pressure
Cons:
had to report the building for not turning the heat on in the water- a water bottle sitting on a windowsill froze overnight got locked out of apartment on a sunday and called the super to ask if he could let me in after just being at the building and he told me i was out of luck and to try again the next day my dishwasher has been out of service for half of my lease- it started leaking and caused water damage to the floor. kept asking management cor a new dishwasher and they ghosted me.
