Worst landlord I've had in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Solid location at a reasonable price
Cons:
Landlord is a liar and a cheat. Withholds security deposit from every tenant on fake charges that can easily be fought in court, but most people do not have the time to go fight him in court.
Advice to owner:
Be better

Not Recommended -
Former Tenant
Pros:
The actual size of the apartments was great - both the bedrooms and common areas. Exposed brick in many units was a nice aesthetic. That’s about it
Cons:
Overrun with insects and rodents. Often walked home to post its just saying “it smells bad, if anyone finds dead animals in the unit call me”. Almost monthly got insane extra charges in addition to rent which was not cheap to begin with. Hallways not kept up. Laundry room rarely worked and also looked like a set from a horror movie. Lndlord was dishonest, and greedy. He tried to rip off many people I knew in the building and needed to get taken to court multiple times

Landlords Stink, Spacious APT
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious APT with big rooms.
Cons:
Landlords were not communicative and not fair to tenants.

Great First Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is relatively quiet and located on a safe and residential block. There is laundry in the building.
Cons:
The building is .5 miles away from everything--subway, grocery stores, gyms, etc. The laundry machines break and are unable to be fixed for weeks.

Run from management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location; two entrances.
Cons:
Management is very rude and condescending— will try to do anything to make you pay extra money. 40x rent is not enough, requires guarantor.
Advice to owner:
Be nicer, clean the building more, stop being so anal

Spacious apartments, old building, fun but dangerous are
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious rooms
Quiet street but Houston side of building is loud
Cons:
Run down building for price
Landlord pictures lied about rooftop

Terrible landlords, nice location.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not enough to make up for the building management.
Cons:
Scummy landlords - they are incompetent and disorganized about everything, except taking your security deposit.

Every single tenant I talked to in this building had their security deposit deducted for ridiculous reasons.

Advice to owner:
Try not being completely despicable.
