Worth staying more than one year
Former Tenant
Pros:
-The landlord Jack is amazing. Genuinely sympathetic when there was a mice issue and sent someone out ASAP. Very responsive. -My unit was very reasonably priced compared to others in the area despite not being rent stabilized. -Jack was flexible and understanding when I was a little behind on rent. -Easy to get security deposit back with no questions asked. -Neighbors rarely stole packages.
Cons:
-There was a mice problem -Backyard and stairways were poorly kept up with -Very aggressive male neighbor on floor 3.. would scream and throw tantrums regularly, including banging on door and threatening when "being too loud"
Advice to owner:
Put a little more love and effort into cleaning the building! I know it's quite old but it just needs a little TLC

Very Decent find in East Village
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, and the heat is reliable. The shared backyard is nice to have and neighbors are friendly.
Cons:
Landlord not very invested in upkeep of the building. We also had a couple of break-ins so the building isn't super secure.
Advice to owner:
Spend just a tiny tiny bit more on maintenance/renovations/replacements in the building, it will make a difference!
