Overall great place to live - very well maintained and owner & super are lovely
Former Tenant
Pros:
Railroad apartment, really nice neighbors, great location. Tree-lined street is to die for. The super and owners are so nice and were really helpful during our time there. Replied right away and were helpful during our move in. When we first moved in we had a couple mice but the owner and super were really responsive and helped us take care of it. We were able to knock out the issue completely. The super even came by to collect the dead mouse we caught which was really nice of him (not sure most supers would do that but as a group of girls we didn't want to pick it up ourselves). After the rodent issue was fixed, they continued to check in and an exterminator came by once a month. This just goes to show how well maintained the building is.
The owners seem to want long term tenants so they treat their tenants really well and have a selective process for applications, which is great because no noisy neighbors.
Cons:
Lots of rodents on the street out-front but its the East Village so obviously to be expected and not at the fault of the building or management company.
Advice to owner:
None! Keep being great landlords :)

Big but dark and dirty
Former Tenant
Pros:
this apartment is a great size and 2 bathrooms is a huge plus. Super and landlord are pretty responsive and will work with you to solve any issues. The separate kitchen and living room makes it easy to have multiple roommates. Closets in each room is great. If you can live on first or fifth floors I’d say go for it since those apartments have windows in all the rooms.
Cons:
1 bedroom in each apartment has no window. The apartments are pretty dark and could definitely be touched up a bit since they’re a little dingy/dirty. There are a ton of mice which has been the biggest issue.
