Horrible experience, do not rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is the only pro. Good water pressure and updated appliances.
Cons:
Where to start. Massive pest problem. Had a rat in my studio. Rats in the trash corridor inside the building. The apartments get incredibly hot during the summer months, like keep you AC unit on 24/7 or your place is not comfortable. It’s loud! When I moved in the retail spaces were all for rent… two months later I lived above a restaurant, a bar, a karaoke place, vape shop and a salon. Landlord doesn’t let you hang anything on the walls of the apartment. Only gives you one set of keys. If you are locked out on the weekend, you’re completely F’ed until Monday morning. If you can get ahold of anyone to let you in, the office assistant at the time tried to extort me for money. Later, they took. My ENTIRE security deposit for cleaning and a ‘locksmith’. Late fees on rent kick in on the 3rd of each month… and double each day. They closed the office early on a Friday and didn’t open mailed rent check until Tuesday (holiday weekend).. AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR BEING FOUR DAYS LATE.
Advice to owner:
Long term renters are a good thing… threat your renters well and they treat the building well
