Get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap, and that’s pretty much it
Cons:
Thin walls, small apartments, weird layout and features (extremely tiny sinks, shower in middle of bathroom) unavailable management, little security (lots of packages stolen and classic “we lost the security footage” response from mgmt) glass front door with the same code for everyone. We’re weird about me getting my security deposit back (Didnt make it available until 2 weeks after move out, did not offer direct deposit, said they would only mail if I accepted liability for it being lost or stolen, and had to pick it up in person even though I’d moved from ny so I had to send a friend - horrible)

Simply, don't rent here
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is for apartment 6:
As far as good things to say about this building go, there are very few if any. I think the only pro is the location. It is right in the middle of the action in LES. Close to good restaurants, trader joes/target, and a subway to get you anywhere. But the actual living in the building part is bad to the bone.
Cons:
This is for apartment 6:
- There is basically 15 square feet of common living space. It's a small galley kitchen big enough for a small table against the wall and two stools. And with the table in the kitchen, you couldn't fit two people shoulder-to-shoulder. If this were the only thing wrong with the apartment, fine. But it's not. - There are so many cockroaches. You would probably see anywhere from 3-8 a day-not exaggerating! In the bathroom, stove, cabinets, counters, and they made their way into the bedroom closest to the kitchen. Management was made aware of this and the response was minimal, if any. - The bathroom is so strangely organized and it's not even the worst part of the apartment (see above for that). The sink is so small. It's an open, all-tiled room. The shower head comes before the toilet, so you have to walk through the "shower" to get to the toilet. When you shower, everything in the bathroom gets wet. - There's no natural light in the common spaces or in one of the bedrooms. The only natural light comes from the bedroom at the end of the hall. When that door isn't open, the apartment is pitch black as if it's the dead of night at any time of day. - Management is terrible. They do not care about you. They just want to lock you into a lease and take your money. And will not do anything to make your experience better. - It is expensive. They are charging 3k for a 2 bedroom in these conditions.
Advice to owner:
Be honest about how terrible it is to live in your building and do not charge so much for rent.

Really Horrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location. That's it
Cons:
No hot water the entire time we lived there. Owner also stole the deposit after saying they would return it repeatedly
