Don't move here if you don't have to
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is very central and the apartments are a decent size.
Cons:
- Management company is so strange. You never knew who to reach out to when you had a problem - never spoke to any of them on the phone. It's like a black box - so watch out for any Canvas buildings. - Heard multiple apartments had mice problems - and so did ours. They did manage it fairly well though. - Building is dirty - they NEVER clean it. The trash area was open to the outside, so sometimes when you would throw your trash away, big rats would scurry out - yikes! - Fridge in the apartment is comically small for 4 people to share - was always a jigsaw to grab anything out of there. - Looks nice on the surface level but you'll quickly find out everything was cheaply made, and they charge SO much for the crap. Floors were caving in, handles were just glued on. Our apartment's AC was broken for over 2 MONTHS! In the dead of summer during a heatwave. We had to kick and scream for them to do anything about it. - Just don't rent from this company - I'm begging you. Don't.
Advice to owner:
Please stop being a black box to your tenants.

Built hastily and it shows
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good space, good location, in unit W/D
Cons:
There was very significant soft spot in the wood which was concerning. We found rat poop in cabinets when we moved in. The shower pressure was minimal. The AC was broken so often we know the repair guys by first name.
Management also did some really weird stuff around this bedroom that “wasn’t wide enough” in the end they told us if we renewed the lease, they would vacate us without compensation (to find housing while the place was under construction). When we didn’t give them an immediate answer about renewal, they pulled the offer well before the renewal offer deadline. This felt like we were effectively kicked out.
Also, the virtual doorman (Carson app) is broke 30% of the time, which makes it hard to trust/use
