Nice location, small unit
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's a basically perfect location (about 5mins from the F train and in the intersection of the East Village and the Lower East Side). There are no amenities in the building, except for the dishwasher in unit (which was excellent), though there's a nice and clean laundromat about 90 seconds away. Having a virtual way of buzzing people was great for deliveries. Trash management was done swiftly. The super was very responsive and kind whenever we called.
Cons:
We definitely had some problems with bugs (though never saw any mice). The building was pretty regularly getting fined for, I think, leaving trash out on the street. Having no AC and no windows in the living room meant it got absolutely SWELTERING over the summer. Our rent was raised 8%, even though the unit is quite small

Great Location Terrible Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Not much really, I guess the rooftop
Cons:
RATS. we had a rodent problem and a roach problem. and a mold problem in the shower that kept coming back. Technically our apartment was illegal because there’s one bed without windows. I don’t think our landlord got the permits to build out the apartment into a 3 Bed I think it’s only supposed to be a one bed. It is tiny and there is no sunlight
Advice to owner:
Take better care of the building and lower the prices if you want to get anyone in there. They upped our rent by $1500 net affective. Insane.
