Not bad for east village management co
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious apartment for the price, building itself is kept very very clean. The staff are relatively personable for the most part.
Cons:
Took awhile for repair people to respond to requests through no fault of their own—it sounds like they have to deal with tons of properties and are in a little over their heads in terms of the quantity of requests that have to feel with. Also, we had issues with roaches and mice. They took care of the mice, but they postponed taking care of the roaches until it became a dire issue.
Advice to owner:
Better responsiveness on repairs

Horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apt is very nice when up and running. Spacious but expensive for the area
Cons:
The management switches personnel every few weeks. No one takes responsibility for the building and it’s upkeep. There is no super. If you have issues in your apt. Good luck. Either deal with it or get it fixed yourself. Because no one from management will be coming to help.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of your tenants and their issues.

Decent building, terrible landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Normally clean, new’ish apartments, the super cleans building pretty well. Trash is normally well handled but it’s been really bad throughout covid. The heat is OK. When it gets really cold sub 20 degrees is when it starts to struggle. Hot water is fine & pressure is good.
Cons:
Worst landlord & management company. They don’t care about you whatsoever. They didn’t before covid and they didn’t during covid. They expect their rent paid, and when it was legal they would levy high late fees. If not for city laws they would have evicted anyone they could. I’ve lived under in 5 different landlords during my time in NYC and 9300 Realty/Centennial is by far the most ruthless. Do not ever try to do “the right thing” for them because they will try & screw your over any chance they get. The ONLY thing that matters is you pay the rent on the lease. Even if the rest of the building is vacant and being offered at $1000 less per month & you are struggling with unemployment due to covid and you’ve lived there for over 5 years without ever missing a payment, they don’t care. This may sound semi biased, and it is, but in all reality even before i had this bad experience with them they were already terrible at responding to broken things in the apartment. I’ve been without a microwave for over a year. They kept using the excuse that because of covid they couldn’t replace it. Plus the apartment occasionally has a mild sewage smell coming from the sink drain.
Advice to owner:
Learn to have some compassion. Learn to communicate and develop fair plans with tenants. Your employees would refuse to communicate. They would not get in the phone to talk. When I would visit in person she would refuse to see me. You expect ultra high premium rents for your pretty good quality but too small apartments yet your customer service as a landlord and your “return policy” is non existent. If you were a product you would have gone out of business years ago. With real estate changing due to covid this company is going to go through some significant problems with this mentality.
