Nice location, god-awful management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Really not much to say here. It's in a nice location and the app to control the front door is nice.
Cons:
Drier/laundry machine were moldy and non-functional for first 45-50 days of lease. Only replaced after incessant badgering. Same issues with hot water twice. Same issue with heat. Management is unresponsive and offers lackluster fixes.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants like human beings.

Not Impressed
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is nice, laundry in unit
Cons:
Poor response or knowledge of the building by management, no help during Covid-19, you will constantly trip over garbage as you enter the building, units could use an update, the heat will run even when you turn it off and you will be charged as a result. Workers leave the front door open so you better be quick to grab packages before they are stolen.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your tenants - especially those who continue to pay pre covid prices in nonrenovated units.

Overall negative, moved out in a year
Former Tenant
Pros:
Higher floor apartment so infrequent problems with pests, although they did exist. Surprising for this part of St. Marks. Washer dryer in unit.
Cons:
Incredibly noisy at night (from both apartments and street) because of thin walls/old window seals. Garbage cans are placed in very narrow entryway opposite of mailboxes, and trash often spills onto the floor because of it.

Great Spot to Live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fast and decent management
Cons:
Upstairs neighbors were obnoxious but management was helpful and fast in response; trash in hall
