Just, ok, fine short-term.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great. Didn’t have problems with pests.
Cons:
Location is Also the reason for management to respond slower or not at all. Heating during winter wasn’t on a lot of the times.
Advice to owner:
Respond to emails in a timely manner.

Issues with Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good natural light, great location
Cons:
Management was unresponsive to issues - we have had no cooking gas for 3 months, mice, homeless people living in building, and trash overflow.

its livable
Former Tenant
Pros:
as a 20 something fresh out of college with no budget it was a 5th floor walk up in my budget. i had a dishwasher and most of the bedrooms have windows lol
Cons:
no laundry, garbage shoot broken so piles of trashed piled up in lobby, mailboxes broken, door buzzer broken, etc etc - anything in the common area was assumed to be completely busted but in the apartment where you can manage how clean things are its fine
Advice to owner:
not sure how they will find tenants to fill the million floor walkup unit with no windows in the bedroom and no laundry in the building or nearby when they are asking over 2000 per room - im sure someone more desperate than i will move in but still its insane

TOO MANY MICE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, high ceilings, solid apt layouts
Cons:
Owners will take weeks to fix even urgent issues (NO DRINKABLE OR HOT WATER TOOK A WEEK+) and REPEATED MICE sightings, sometimes multiple at a time. So gross. They haunt me. Literally like living in a third world country by the end.
Advice to owner:
FIX things that are unliveable - tenants shouldn't have to live in a literal third world country.

Ok building, atrocious management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is convenient to other parts of NYC (union square, Williamsburg)
Cons:
Management doesn’t exist.
No one answers calls.
No one reviews the place with you when you move in.
Every package is free game - they do nothing to stop thiefs.
