Don’t sign your lease.
Former Tenant
Pros:
In unit washer dryer and that’s it
Cons:
We had a water leak, an untidier building renovation, 2 months of rats, and the last week of our lease in comes roaches.
The super never responses and he’s always slow on garbage
Over 1 year ago
Had no issues here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Small rooms buy sufficient windows. Never saw rodents or roaches
Cons:
Railroad style units
Every day I wished I could move out
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large common area, washer/dryer in unit
Cons:
Rude landlord and frequently absent super (lives in Bronx) who would leave our messages on read. A brief list of issues we had:
- continuous mice problem and saw a cockroach once
- virtual doorman / buzzer broke and was never fixed after informing super
- was not informed of loud construction noise all day for over a week in unit above us. the contractors were sloppy and left our building front door open for anyone to come in and steal packages. Even worse, they left water running one night and after midnight, the ceiling started leaking and there were gaping holes pouring dirty brown water onto a furnished bedroom and bathroom. the conditions were unlivable and we lived in fear every day. the management barely gave us money back and aggressively negotiated with rude language when we asked for an early move out. Barely any money was given back even though repairs took days and weren’t done thoroughly. The bathroom door was broken afterwards and remained unfixed, and pest control did not come after texting the super numerous times with no response.
-If you look closely at the walls you’ll see cracks, holes and gaps were creatures can come through, often hastily hidden.
- the stairs and lobby are in disarray, ugly and so dirty. When has the super ever done his job?
-The bathroom format is inconvenient and causes water to splash everywhere in the shower.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and respectful. And fix your building
