Amazing three years… Then I grew up
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved living here. Never had a cockroach problem, which for the East Village is unheard of. However, for the last month here we had a horrible mouse problem that was really hard to contain. Glad it happened right at the end of our stay. The super Walter is amazing— by the end we established such a special relationship with him. So he was very responsive to us. However, if you go through the management itself they were often slow to respond and did not respond on weekends. Made it very hard to get stuff done. The landlady is not very opaque and you will have to ask several times to get things done sometimes. The building is pretty well-maintained in terms of trash in the common area/ roof, stairwells, lobby. They just added laundry and a small gym. Nothing fancy but better than nothing!
Cons:
So loud. Parties frequently, all NYU students. I get it, we were those kids at some point, but once you graduate you definitely got to get out. This place is basically a frat house. There are sometimes bugs, nothing crazy. Spiders, centipedes, but luckily not cockroaches. The trash is pretty well contained
Advice to owner:
Give Walter a raise

Pros:
Owner sent cleaners to clean the apartment. Super was very responsive too
Cons:
Building is very old. Our door got stuck and we had to have the super force it open
