Fine and small space, new owner kinda sucks
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, pretty quiet
Cons:
Small units, the new owner is barely responsive. The hot water was barely hot. Hallways were rarely cleaned.

Do better?

Not worth the stress
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, quiet street, good water pressure
Cons:
Garbage room; dirty hallways; noisy, inconsiderate neighbors; management doesn't care, they don't enforce their own lease terms in regards to your neighbors. You do not have a right to live in peace here!!

Proceed with caution
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Great location if you desire a social life in East Village/LES. Close to the restaurants and the 2nd street F Line
- Around the corner is a AMC hardware store and Rite Aid.
- the higher units facing out of the back have nice false balconies
- some units have w/d. Lifesaver if you're above the 3rd floor.
- Lots of storage space in our old unit.
- door to roof (while not supposed to be open) was accessible to some amazing views of the city.
- we broke our lease early due to COVID reasons and mgmt was pretty reasonable about working a doable penalty.
Cons:
- Stepladder to the basement trash area is 60 degrees and the super presses for tenants to go down them to drop off their trash. It’s not safe and probably against building code.
- Packages were stolen often. Happened to every tenant.
- had a mice issue the week before we moved out. They sent an exterminator, but it didn't solve the issue.
- also cockroaches (water bugs) were founded in the bathroom when he weather was warm, but that's common in NY.
- water leak from our bathroom roof and living room roof on different occasions. Luckily, we were home at the time or else damage would’ve been extensive. One of the leaks led to a build of mold, but that was quickly taken care of once I contacted mgmt.
- super wasn't always responsive. Had to email mgmt to have requests answered with promptness.
- there were still some repairs that were never addressed or followed up even on move out.
- Airbnb and an legal BnB was present meaning many unfamiliars.
Advice to owner:
- Hold the super accountable on not responding in a speedy manner to requests like mice and mold - Fix the step ladder and give tenants a better option for trash - provide a safe way for tenants to get their packages
